What MeltOffer does
MeltOffer turns visible weight, purity, and market-price inputs into metal values, then lets you compare an actual buyer percentage against that benchmark. It covers precious metals, common scrap grades, US and world coins, and free embeddable tools.
How the data works
Precious-metal pages request keyless market prices from Gold API in the browser and retain dated, editable fallbacks. Base-metal benchmarks and local rates remain editable. Coin pages use published contained-metal specifications and flag collector-value risks. The methodology and sources page documents formulas, provenance, and limitations.
Independent by design
MeltOffer does not buy or sell metal. Calculator inputs stay in your browser, and no account, cookie, analytics script, or advertising tracker is required.
