Read the complete mark before calculating

Gold-filled material has a mechanically applied karat-gold-alloy layer over base metal. Electroplate uses an electrolytic coating; vermeil is gold over a sterling-silver base; gold tone does not state a gold fraction. Rolled gold plate or gold overlay below the 1/20 gold-filled threshold needs its own disclosed fraction, so do not relabel a 1/40 RGP item as 1/20 GF.
Theoretical content is not recoverable value
